Fort Myers

A holiday in Fort Myers takes you to the location of one of North America’s first military forts, erected initially to fend off the Seminole Indians on several occasions during the 19th Century. First settled by Westerners in 1866, and the winter getaway of American luminaries such as Thomas Edison and Henry Ford, this popular tourist destination holds great historical significance. That being said, a visit to one of the historical exhibitions in the area is a must!
